Dispatcher

Dispatcher is needed for a small family-owned company in the heating and air conditioning industry that has been established for over 30 years! Dispatchers will schedule and dispatch workers out into the Lake County area, relay work orders and messages to crew, and confirm details from customers.

General Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch service crews to customer locations.
• Manage multiple schedules, priorities, and processes simultaneously.
• Handle inbound and outbound phone calls and customer communications.
• Ensure crews are prepared and scheduled appropriately for current and upcoming jobs.
• Monitor daily operations, identify issues, and proactively solve problems.
• Perform administrative duties including data entry, recordkeeping, and document preparation.
• Utilize company software and technology tools to maintain efficient operations.

Ideal Background

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3-5 years of previous dispatching, scheduling, administrative, customer service, HVAC, or home service experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word and Basic Excel.
• CRM, Service Fusion, or QuickBooks experience is a plus.
• Interest in technology and AI tools that improve efficiency and productivity.
• Communication Skills: You will be listening and speaking to people phone, often in some state of distress. Your ability to listen, speak plainly and communicate effectively will be necessary.
• Ability to Multitask: Dispatchers often are moving a lot of people around at the same time, tracking their movements and keeping tabs on what they need
