A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in the field of criminal justice, business management, public administration, social science, behavioral science, computer science, or related field is required. (Any acceptable combination of related education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, abilities, and skills may be considered as a substitution.) Two years of experience in research analysis and statistics of criminal trend data is required. A certificate in crime analysis and/or intelligence analysis obtained through the International Association of Crime Analysts is required upon hire.Additional InformationThe selection process includes, but is not limited to, an interview. Prior to employment, candidates will complete a background investigation, polygraph examination, and physical examination to include a drug screen. The expected duration of the selection process will normally not exceed two months.
