Summary

Job Title

Under the general direction of the Assistant Bureau Director, the incumbent acts as the conformity team leader for the Legislative Services Bureau, acts as the department's expert in drafting federal conformity legislation, performs and prepares analyses and reports concerning the most difficult and complex tax law as it relates to tax administration and emerging issues relating to e-government, acts as a member of the department's federal conformity team, represents the department in numerous contacts with legislative staff, tax accountants, and attorneys. Develops technical training materials and provides technical tax law training to internal and external customers, acts as the team leader for the technical review of bill analyses and tax forms for the bureau, acts as a technical subject matter expert, advises executive management, recommends policy, or serves as the department's authority for conformity policy.
