Central York School District (CYSD) is seeking a dependable and safety-minded individual to serve as a Crossing Guard. This position plays an important role in helping students safely cross designated streets before and after school. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys making a meaningful impact while contributing to a supportive and collaborative educational team.

Job Summary: Assist students in safely crossing streets on their walk to school each morning and afternoon.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Assist students in safely crossing designated streets before and after school. Monitor traffic and pedestrian activity. Promote safe crossing practices and maintain a visible presence. Communicate professionally with students, families, and motorists.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Must have obtained (or will obtain) valid PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal History Background Checks within the last twelve (12) months.

Hourly Rate: $18.38-$22.56 *Step placement shall be based on years of service recognized by employer.
