The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a - to correlate all aspects of major project areas studied and define visions of business processes to achieve future and ideal states by applying process improvement methodologies to eliminate inefficiencies and improve productivity with the 76th Aircraft Maintenance Group. Process Improvement Section within the Aircraft Maintenance Group equips all production and support/business squadrons with the necessary tools to structure, communicate, monitor and continually improve their production machines. Ensures Lean goals align with the Group and Complex strategic goals and objectives. Performs extensive analysis of processes and procedures to provide data driven recommendations to customers. Meets regularly with organic customers to discuss/establish projects to support continuous process improvement. Facilitates Lean events to include 8-steps, Value Stream mapping and Rapid improvement events.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
2. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
3. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition., supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
5. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
6. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
Additional Position Requirements:
1. Work may occasionally require travel away from normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
2. The work requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
3. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours.
4. Performs other related duties as assigned.
