Summary
Account Manager
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead, manage, and grow our DOD and Government freight operations. We are already active with multiple government agencies and moving freight today; this role exists to bring stronger leadership, structure, and operational discipline to the account portfolio while supporting continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day management of existing DOD and Government freight accounts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government customers and agency partners
- Ensure accurate quoting and that awarded freight is executed exactly as quoted
- Coordinate closely with operations to manage service levels, exceptions, and performance
- Understand and navigate government freight requirements, processes, and timelines
- Identify opportunities to expand freight volume and grow accounts within government agencies
- Help build structure, processes, and best practices as the government freight team scales
- Provide leadership and accountability across internal teams supporting gov freight
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing DOD or Government freight (required)
- Strong understanding of how government freight differs from standard commercial freight
- Experience working with federal agencies and government contracting environments
- Operationally strong — able to connect pricing, execution, and service outcomes
- Confident communicator with a professional, solutions-oriented approach
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Why This Role
- Existing government freight is already in place — this is a build and grow opportunity
- Direct impact on operations, customer satisfaction, and future team expansion
