SALARY RANGE: $13.76 - $16.48 DOQ

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Arena Supervisor, assists with Public Skating Sessions and working in the arena pro shop which includes patrolling the ice, interacting with skaters, helping injured skaters, skate rentals and retail sales.

TYPICAL WORK SHIFT/SCHEDULE: Saturday's 11:0 Am to 1:30 PM Sunday's 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Holiday's - Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, December Holiday Week; New Year's Day, February vacation week 11:00 to 1:30 PM

Examples of Duties

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Help collect money at front office

Patrol the Ice during skating sessions ensuring the safety of the skaters

Help with any injured skaters including simple first aid and filling out accident report

1st one on the ice - Last one off the ice

Help clean up after session, empty trash, sweep up.

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Typical Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education and Experience:

Good skating ability

Good communication skills

Completed Application & Background Check

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Good skating ability

Cash handling and balancing.

Providing exceptional customer service to the public

Supplemental Information

MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Cash Register

Skates

Cleaning Equipment such as brooms, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in an ice arena where the employee may be exposed to cold temperatures.

Work is performed in a noisy place.
