Tennis Court Maintenance
FLSA Status – Non-Exempt
Job Summary
Maintains the tennis courts. Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club's operations, it may be necessary for each employee to perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
Job Tasks (Essential Functions)
- Brush and water clay courts.
- Clean clay and hard courts of debris (leaves, pine needles, etc.)
- Assist in watering of clay courts.
- Pick up tennis towels
- Assist in grounds maintenance when needed.
- Empty trash cans.
- Fill court water coolers.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
- Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Courts Foreman, Assistant Courts Foreman and/or Director of Courts & Grounds.

- Director of Courts & Grounds
- Courts Foreman
- Assistant Courts Foreman
Supervises
- No supervisory duties are included in this position.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Education – High School Diploma or GED preferred, experience is a plus.
- Language Skills – Verbal English preferred
- Physical Requirements
- Stand – Three quarters of the time
- Walk – Three quarters of the time
- Sit – Quarter of the time
- Use hands/fingers to handle/feel – Always
- Reach with hands/arms – Always
- Climb or balance – Quarter of the time
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl – Quarter of the time
- Talk/hear – Always
- Taste/smell – Quarter of the time
- Weight Lifted/force exerted – up to 80 pounds.
- Visual Requirements – Must be able to see
- Work Environment
- Wet or humid conditions – Occasionally – weather
- Work near moving mechanical parts – Half of the time
- Work in high precarious places – Rarely
- Fumes or airborne particles – Rarely
- Toxic or caustic chemicals – Rarely
- Outdoor weather conditions – Always
- Risk of electrical shock – Rarely
