Traffic
Working as Full-time Traffic Administration, you will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operations of the Transportation department. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 5851 Guion Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46254.
The dutiesand responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Monitoring the effective and efficient daily operations of the Traffic department
- Communicating internally and externally by phone and email
- Maintaining files, documents, paperwork and data entry
- Managing budgets and performance metrics
- Complying with safety regulations
- Assisting with scheduling drivers and securing loads
- Operating a Fastenal vehicle and running truck routes, Non-CDL and/or CDL, as needed
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
- 18 years of age or older
- Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
- Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
- Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
- Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
- Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
