Vessel Support Assistant
As a Vessel Support Assistant, you will perform the following duties:
- Assist with office administration tasks to include Time & Attendance (T&A), Pay and Leave, and travel arrangements; ensure timely/accurate accounting in accordance with guidelines and procedures.
- Support administrative functions related to vessel commands.
- Support the administrative officer by acting on administrative matters relating to new or revised personnel requirements, regulations procedures, and administrative files.
NOTE: These duties are described at the full performance level of the ZS-04; The ZS-03 is developmental leading to such performance.
This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS). Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band. The ZS-3 is equivalent to the GS-05/06. The ZS-4 is equivalent to the GS-07/08. CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
- This position requires the operation of a Federal motor vehicle. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a government vehicle in completion of assigned tasks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
