Job DescriptionIntelligence is crucial to the security of our nation. By gathering information about an adversary's intentions, strengths, vulnerabilities, and capabilities, the military can plan, prepare, and defend against potential attacks. As a Human Intelligence Collector in the Army National Guard, you will earn a security clearance and use your strategic, cognitive, and language skills to obtain Intel from both friendly and hostile sources.ResponsibilitiesYour duties may include conducting intelligence gathering missions involving human sources; interrogating and debriefing, as defined by regulation; developing intelligence gathering and collection missions as well as interrogation plans; advising military organizations based on intelligence gathering; and coordinating with federal agencies.Screen human intelligence sources and documentsDebrief and interrogate human intelligence sourcesParticipate in human intelligence operationsAnalyze and prepare intelligence reportsTrainingJob training for Human Intelligence Collection Technicians consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, 6 to 18 months of language training to learn a foreign language, and 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT). During AIT, you'll learn in the classroom and gain experience in the field.
