Senior Fire Protection Engineer | Boston - Mission Critical / Healthcare / Life SciencesAs a Senior Fire Protection Engineer, you will lead the fire protection design on dedicated projects and take part in coordination meetings across the project team. You will work closely with junior staff, providing guidance and technical review of their work, and contribute to project budgeting and scheduling.Working Set up: Hybrid - 3 days in officeProject Type: Mission Critical, Healthcare and Life SciencesResponsibilitiesLead design and development of fire protection systems including sprinkler, standpipe, fire alarm, and special hazard suppression systems for commercial, healthcare, and institutional facilitiesConduct site visits, inspections, and field surveys to support design and construction phasesOversee preparation of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, hydraulic calculations and equipment schedulesEnsure designs comply with applicable codes and standardsCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural and other team membersLead review of submittals and RFIs during construction administrationServe as Project Engineer and Project Manager on complex, high-stakes projectsMentor and review the work of junior engineersUse engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD, hydraulic calc software)QualificationsBachelor of Science Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field8+ years of relevant fire protection design experienceStrong working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 13, NFPA 72, NFPA 101, IBC)Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation softwarePE license preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsIf this role matches yours skillset and you are looking for a new role or are interested in hearing more about the role, please apply to this role or contact me via levi@planbclimatech.com or drop me a call or message to (617) 514-2151.#J-18808-Ljbffr
