Propane Dispatcher
Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round (Seasonal Schedule)
Work Schedule:
September through May: MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. (40 hours/week)
June through August: Approximately 12 hours per week with a flexible schedule
Pay Range: $40,000$50,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience
Location: 630 Proctor Ave NW, Elk River, MN 55330
Position Summary
Beaudry Oil & Propane is seeking an organized and dependable Propane Dispatcher to coordinate propane deliveries, support daily operations, and provide exceptional customer service. This year-round position offers a unique seasonal schedule with full-time hours September through May and reduced, flexible hours during the summer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate, schedule, and dispatch propane deliveries (automatic and will-call) to meet customer needs
- Monitor truck locations and optimize delivery routes using GPS systems
- Track driver hours and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Handle customer calls, assess service needs, and provide timely support
- Request and verify purchase order (PO) information as needed
- Coordinate with internal departments to support delivery operations
- Support the Division Manager with daily operational tasks
- Follow and enforce company safety policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in the on-call rotation as required
- Assist with inventory monitoring, transport dispatching, and data entry
- Perform general clerical duties and other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous dispatching experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
