Dispatcher The Dispatcher will prepare all necessary inbound and outbound paperwork and dispatch all Miscellaneous Liquids trucks for loading and unloading.Responsibilities Ensure driver has all the proper equipment and information that is needed in order to process a shipment or receipt from start to finish in accordance to DOT regulations and company quality procedures.Issue DOT required placards, seals, customer tags & sample bottles where applicableDispatch trucks to proper yard for loading or unloadingVerify all Customer requested info and special instructions are read and followedProcess all truck activity in computer systemsRestock Dispatching suppliesPerform any other duties assigned by supervisor.Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalentValid Driver's LicenseTWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials) for access to IMTT's terminal locations.Skills and Abilities Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in the English language.Ability to understand written and verbal communication in the English language.Ability to make decisions in a variable environment.Ability to communicate with all other terminal departments.Knowledge of basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions).Hours of Work Typical hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Employees are scheduled to work assigned shifts within a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays. All hours worked must be accurately recorded, and overtime is paid in accordance with FLSA and company policy.Must be available for off hour emergency calls and carry a cell phone.Occasional travel may be necessary, sometimes with little or no advance noticePhysical and Environmental Demand The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
