Skills and Competencies
- 5+ years sales experience required
- Experience working with news or media solutions
- Understanding of Moody's NewsEdge offerings and the business challenges faced by clients
- Strong knowledge of enterprise software solutions including customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning, procure to pay, and lead to cash systems
- Customer facing experience with confidence leading sales discussions and engaging with clients and internal stakeholders
- Sales mindset with a strong commercial drive to win new business opportunities
- Experience in technical sales of data and software as a service solutions, with exposure to complex sales cycles preferred
- Ability to analyze business processes and workflows to identify efficiency improvements
- Interest in or experience with Spark, SQL, and Python for application programming interface development is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage both technical and non technical audiences
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
Responsibilities
Drive pre sales activities by aligning client needs with data and software solutions to support revenue growth and customer success- Support sales teams and internal stakeholders throughout the pre sales process from qualification to solution alignment
- Conduct detailed analysis of client workflows, processes, and business requirements through meetings and data review
- Map Moody's solutions to client needs by demonstrating subject matter expertise and understanding of business challenges
- Deliver product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and trial evaluations to showcase value
- Develop tailored solutions using Moody's data and software offerings to meet client objectives
- Partner with product and technical teams to understand system architecture, capabilities, and integrations
- Act as a liaison between clients and product teams to provide feedback that informs product enhancements and roadmap planning
- Travel up to 50 percent to engage clients in person while supporting a hybrid work environment

This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
