Overview We are seeking a dedicated Crossing Guard to ensure the safety of pedestrians, especially children, at designated crossings near schools or busy intersections.Duties Safely guide pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic when necessaryMonitor and enforce traffic laws and pedestrian safety regulationsAssist children in safely crossing streets on their way to and from schoolCommunicate effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and school staffReport any incidents or hazards to appropriate authorities promptlyMaintain a visible presence to deter unsafe behaviorsRequirements Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelinesFirst aid and CPR certification preferred but not requiredFamiliarity with compliance management related to pedestrian safetyUnderstanding of EPA regulations for safe outdoor environmentsAbility to recognize and respond to vital signs in case of emergenciesStrong communication skills to interact with diverse individuals effectivelyKnowledge of HIPAA regulations for handling sensitive informationThis position offers the opportunity to contribute to the community by ensuring the safety of pedestrians, particularly children.
