We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Intermodal Dispatcher to join our growing operations team. This role is responsible for coordinating the daily movement of intermodal freight, managing driver communication, and ensuring on-time, efficient service for our customers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong problem-solving skills, and brings prior intermodal dispatch experience.Key ResponsibilitiesDispatch and manage a fleet of drivers for intermodal (rail) operationsCoordinate container pickups and deliveries between rail yards, ports, and customer locationsMonitor driver progress and ensure on-time performanceCommunicate proactively with drivers, customers, and terminals to resolve issuesTrack loads and update systems in real timeManage appointment scheduling and routing for maximum efficiencyEnsure compliance with DOT, safety, and company policiesHandle service exceptions, delays, and troubleshootingMaintain strong relationships with drivers to support retention and performanceQualifications & ExperienceRequired: 2+ years of intermodal dispatch experienceStrong understanding of rail operations, port/terminal processes, and drayageExperience working with dispatch/load boards and TMS systems (TMSEZ or similar preferred)Excellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and make quick decisions under pressureProficient with computers and web-based systemsHybrid schedule (combination of in-office in Romeoville and remote work)Collaborative, team-oriented cultureFast-paced logistics environment with growth opportunitiesWhat We OfferCompetitive salary (based on experience)Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding operationSupportive leadership and team environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
