Job Description Under immediate direction, provides timely response of customer inquiries up to and including pick-ups, schedules, product orders, etc., and all other aspects of a customer's needs. Dispatches vehicles on a pre-set route for each CSR on a daily basis in the interest of efficient customer service. The Dispatcher also monitors compliance with company policies and federal and state regulations. The job interfaces frequently with clients, peers, and managers.Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Assists drivers with problems/issues as issues arise (during the day or at the end of the route).Communicate driver issues with Customer Service, Transportation Supervisor and/or Facility Manager.Assist Customer Service with customer requests, route changes, rescheduling for pickups/missed stops.Provides highest level of customer service to all customers in line with Customer 1st objectives.Monitor and elevate Salesforce cases to supervisor.Assist walk-in customer area.Assist Transportation Supervisor on Logistics and Transportation.Review daily the Atlas routing system.Conduct daily debriefs for all drivers in accordance with written SOPs.Assist drivers with handheld/printer use; ensure handheld entry backup to mobile hub; resolve/escalate handhelds/mobile hub issues.Build and print routes for drivers daily, including shipping documents, route sheets, barcode labels.Dispatch drivers for extra or missed pick-ups.Create/distribute load sheets.Review drivers' paperwork (VCR and logbook) and file paperwork.Forward VCR reports to Transportation Supervisor/Manager for maintenance request.Review and update routes and new customers based on daily communication; reroute existing customers as required.Complete consolidated manifests for trailer shipments.Ensure routes are balanced daily.Prepare reviews and stamp all manifests.Assists Transport Supervisor/Manager as needed/directed.Download PDTs from previous night.Handle 3rd Party Hauler paperwork.Track and input DOT hours/JJ Keller.Monitor company policies and procedures, communicating to staff as necessary.Communicate performance standards and objectives.Monitor operations and work of all CSRs.Keep staff informed of current problems, changes and new developments in the department and company by conducting professional, organized, participative meetings.Perform any other administrative duties assigned by management.Basic Required Qualifications High school diploma or GEDOne or more years of experience as an Administrative AssistantSkills to use or ability to quickly learn programs and systems required for the job (Salesforce CRM, JJ Keller, Atlas routing software)Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of transportation/logistics experienceDemonstrates the ability to work safely and carefully to prevent injury to self or others.Demonstrates knowledge of computer software applications to include spreadsheets and word processing.Ability to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.Physical and Mental Demands Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerTalking – constantly expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken wordVisual acuity – Must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, filing papers, operating a vehicle, etc.Benefits Comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
