This role oversees the Yard Foreman and Delivery Drivers to ensure timely, accurate, and safe delivery of materials to job sites, as well as the efficient receipt of vendor deliveries into the yard. The Dispatcher plays a critical role in supporting operational efficiency, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesDispatching & Logistics CoordinationCoordinate and schedule outbound deliveries to job sites, ensuring all orders are delivered on time and in full.Coordinate inbound vendor deliveries of materials and products to the yard.Communicate daily delivery schedules, changes, and priorities to drivers, yard personnel, and sales team.Resolve delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies as they arise.Supervision & LeadershipSupervise and support the Yard Foreman and Delivery Drivers.Provide direction and ensure alignment with delivery schedules and operational priorities.Promote accountability, teamwork, and efficient workflow across yard and delivery operations.Safety & ComplianceEnsure safe driving practices are followed by delivery drivers.Enforce safe yard operations and material-handling procedures.Promote and uphold company safety standards, policies, and applicable regulations.Identify and address safety concerns in the yard or during delivery operations.Material Handling & EquipmentEnsure materials are loaded, transported, and unloaded safely and correctly.Operate forklifts to fill racking in warehouses and load/unload trucks.Verify proper use and maintenance of forklifts, trucks, and related equipment.Inventory & System ResponsibilitiesReceive product in the company's computer system.Ensure delivery documentation, quantities, and condition of incoming materials.Communicate discrepancies or damage to purchasing or management as needed.Verify quantity on hand with regular cycle counts of products.Qualifications & SkillsRequiredStrong organizational and communication skills.Ability to supervise and coordinate multiple staff and schedules simultaneously.Knowledge of delivery operations, yard logistics, or construction/material supply environments.Commitment to safety and procedural compliance.Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems.PreferredExperience operating a forklift.Prior dispatching, logistics, or supervisory experience.Experience receiving materials and entering deliveries into inventory or ERP systems.CDL B or familiarity with DOT regulations (a plus, not required).Physical RequirementsAbility to work in an active yard environment.Ability to lift and move materials (with assistance or equipment).Ability to operate forklifts and climb in/out of delivery vehicles.Work EnvironmentPrimarily outdoors with a combination of indoor and outdoor operational responsibilities.Fast-paced environment with daily schedule changes and deadlines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
