Position Title: Junior to Mid-Level Immigration Associate

This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking to advance their career in immigration law within a supportive and dynamic environment. The position involves managing a diverse caseload of employment-based immigration matters, allowing for professional growth and development. Candidates will engage with multiple partners on varied cases, enhancing their expertise in immigration processes. This role requires a proactive approach to case management and client interaction, ensuring compliance with legal standards. Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000 / Year DOE

Immigration Associate Responsibilities:
  • Prepare a broad range of employment-based immigration petitions, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E-2, and PERM-based and self-petitioned immigrant cases (EB-1, EB-2 including National Interest Waivers, and EB-3)
  • Conduct case assessments and advise clients on eligibility, documentation requirements, filing strategy, and risk, with partner oversight as appropriate
  • Draft and review petition briefs, support letters, requests for evidence (RFE) responses, and other legal correspondence
  • Build and maintain client relationships, serving as a day-to-day point of contact on assigned matters
  • Stay current on changes in immigration law, regulations, and USCIS, DOL, and Department of State policy
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure timely, accurate filings
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and procedural requirements
Immigration Associate Requirements:
  • 2+ years of employment-based immigration experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nonimmigrant and immigrant employment-based visa categories and the associated USCIS, DOL, and DOS processes
  • Able to handle a caseload of employment-based immigration matters from A-Z
  • Solid foundation in nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories, strong legal writing skills, and the drive to develop into a well-rounded immigration practitioner
  • Barred in state
  • Comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting, and arguing motions, as well as taking and defending depositions
  • Excellent academic credentials, strong writing and analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience from smaller boutique firms or a desire to transition from larger firms is preferred
