Position Title : SECURITY GUARDLocation : MIDLAND, TX | 14 days on, 7 days offFLSA Class : NON-EXEMPTResponsible to : DISTRICT MANAGERPosition SummaryThe Gate/Security Guard is responsible for controlling access to the laydown yard while ensuring the safe and efficient flow of vehicles, equipment, employees, contractors, and visitors. This position would provide direction to drivers and personnel entering and exiting the facility, maintain security protocols, monitor site activities, and serve as a key point of contact for operational coordination.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesControl and monitor access to the company's property, verifying credentials and maintaining access logsConduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas to identify security risks or unsafe conditionsMonitor surveillance systems, alarms, and security equipment; respond to alerts promptlyEnforce facility security policies, procedures, and visitor protocolsPerform bag checks, badge checks, and escort visitors, contractors, and vendors as requiredRespond to security incidents, emergencies, and disturbances in accordance with established proceduresDocument incidents, irregularities, and daily activities through detailed reportsCoordinate with staff, management, and emergency responders as neededSupport compliance with regulatory, client, and corporate security requirementsMaintain a professional and customer-service-oriented presence at all timesProviding direction to drivers and personnel on‑siteMaintaining security protocols and site safety expectationsTracking arrivals and departures as neededCommunicating with managers and supervisors to resolve issueOther RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to work 14 days on, 7 days offStrong communication skills, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to act quickly in a fast‑paced environment will be essential for success in this role.
