Operations Analyst
Zantech is looking for a talented Operations Analyst to contribute to the success of our upcoming Service Delivery & Resource Allocation Management Support project for an onsite role based out of Arlington, VA.
The Operations Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the following:
- Support to Office Director, Deputy Director, Deputy Program Directors, ADPM, and Program Managers
- Track and coordinate all taskers, drills, and exercises across ACO
- Prepare briefings, reports, and communication documents up to TS/SCI level
- Provide technical and programmatic input to program summaries, PADs, SCGs, PCRs, and RDoc narratives
- Support technical R&D transition activities including stakeholder engagement and strategic planning
The Operations Analyst provides support for mission execution across financial, administrative, and technical functions. Leveraging an operations research background, they apply analytical methods to track milestones, coordinate complex organizational actions, and assist in managing large, multi-program portfolios. They support the preparation of TS/SCI briefings, assist with acquisition lifecycle tracking, and contribute analytical rigor to R&D program management across Strategic Explorations and Special Programs focus areas.
Designated Impact:
The Operations Analyst provides essential analytical and coordination support enabling ACO Program Managers to execute high-velocity, high-risk R&D programs. Failures in milestone tracking or tasker management directly impact program reviews and Congressional reporting.
Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
- Track and coordinate all ACO taskers, drills, and exercises ensuring 100% submission by established deadlines; maintain 98% accuracy in tracking logs
- Support ACO Program Managers in tracking technical and financial milestones across multiple simultaneous programs
- Prepare briefings, reports, and communication documents up to TS/SCI level within deadlines established by ACO Government POCs
- Provide technical and programmatic input to program summaries, PADs, PAD amendments, SCGs, PCRs, RDoc narratives, and review briefings
- Apply analytical methods to support decision-making, policy formulation, and program management across ACO focus areas
- Support acquisition lifecycle tracking and provide quarterly process improvement recommendations
- Assist in developing strategic plans for engaging potential program participants and building R&D stakeholder networks
- Support end-to-end logistics management for DARPA-sponsored events including conferences, off-sites, and executive meetings
Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:
- Minimum 4 years, including at least 2 years tracking technical and financial milestones
- Experience applying mathematical modeling, systems analysis, or operations research to organizational or program management challenges
- Demonstrated skill in milestone tracking, action item management, and multi-stakeholder coordination
- Experience preparing briefings, reports, and presentations for senior leadership
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
- Familiarity with DoD or DARPA program management processes preferred
- Experience working in classified environments (SIPRNet/JWICS) preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to deal with conflicts and diverse stakeholders
Required Education/Certifications:
- Education Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or mathematics
- Education Preferred
- Master's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or operations research
- Preferred Certifications
- CDFM (Certified Defense Financial Manager)
- DAU program management or systems engineering coursework
- PMP or equivalent
Required Security Clearance:
- US Citizenship required
- Must possess and Active US Top Secret (TS); must be eligible for SCI access
