Navy Validator III
Axiom is seeking Navy Qualified Validators (NQV) III to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidates will be responsible for reviewing and implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle documentation, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of systems, networks, and information. This position involves conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, ensuring proper accreditation procedures are followed, and documenting any non-compliance issues.
Must possess Navy Qualified Validator Certification from the Navy Certification Authority (CA).
Job Responsibilities
- Implement and review RMF lifecycle documentation for various Navy systems, ensuring all security and accreditation requirements are met and properly validated.
- Evaluate and validate the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of systems, networks, and information in accordance with DoD/Navy standards.
- Conduct comprehensive risk and vulnerability assessments to determine compliance with security and accreditation requirements.
- Ensure all accreditation procedures are properly followed and document any identified non-compliance issues with clear supporting evidence.
- Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and program teams to resolve issues and maintain secure system posture.
- Prepare and review cybersecurity documentation, including assessment reports, risk assessments, and formal recommendations.
- Support security reviews and inspections as directed by government stakeholders.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Navy cybersecurity validation and A&A processes.
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, communications systems management, or an equivalent science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM) degree from an accredited college or university.
- Ten (10) years' practical experience in a cybersecurity or Authorization & Accreditation (A&A)-related field. Experience should include implementing and/or reviewing RMF lifecycle documentation; ensuring/validating the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and information; and conducting risk and vulnerability reviews and assessments to ensure accreditation procedures were followed, and documenting non-compliance.
Certifications :
- Current Navy Qualified Validator certification (Level I, II, or III) from the Navy Certification Authority (CA).
- CCNA-Security
- CySA+
- GICSP
- GSEC
- Security+ CE
- CND
- SSCP
An Operating System (OS) / Computing Environment (CE) level certification is required.
Clearance:
- Secret or TS with SSBI Investigation, or TS/SCI
- Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
