We have an exciting opportunity for a Marine Insulator position in Norfolk, Virginia!QualificationsMust have a minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a Marine InsulatorMust have verifiable experience working with sound dampening tileMust have experience working with rubber, kalo, fiberglass, pads, and haul boardsMust have OSHA 10 certificationMust be eligible for DBIDS accessMust have ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsJob DutiesInstall, remove, repair, and replace acoustic and thermal insulation on piping, machinery, bulkheads, overheads, and ventilation systems aboard ships and submarinesFabricate and install sound dampening tiles, removable insulation pads, blankets, and lagging systemsMeasure, cut, fit, and secure insulation materials including rubber, kalo, fiberglass, mineral wool, calcium silicate, and foam-based productsApply vapor barriers, jacketing, banding, pins, adhesives, and sealants according to specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical specificationsPerform work in confined spaces, at heights, and in active shipyard environmentsSchedule6am-1:30pm Monday-FridayMust be flexible to work OT and weekends as neededPay$24-25/hour based on experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
