The Cargo Loss Prevention Analyst will serve as CRST's subject matter authority on cargo fraud risk, responsible for developing the policies, controls and training programs that protect our assets, our agents and our reputation.This is a ground‑floor opportunity for a fraud and loss prevention professional who wants to build something that matters. You'll work across Capacity Brokerage, Flatbed Brokerage and our agent network, partnering with leadership at all levels and representing CRST in the broader industry conversation on cargo security.What You'll DoDevelop, implement and maintain CRST's cargo fraud and loss prevention framework, including policies, procedures and controls across brokerage and the agent networkMonitor emerging cargo fraud trends, theft vectors and industry intelligence to identify risk and recommend mitigation strategiesDesign and deliver fraud prevention training for internal staff and agency owners, meeting agencies at their operational level while upholding CRST standardsManage vendor relationships, third‑party carrier compliance and fraud prevention platformsEstablish and govern carrier vetting and compliance standards to reduce exposure to fraudulent actors in CRST's networkServe as the internal authority on cargo fraud risk, providing guidance and recommendations to brokerage leadership, agency owners and executive stakeholdersEvaluate emerging technologies that can improve CRST's ability to detect and respond to fraud threatsDefine and track key metrics to measure fraud exposure, prevention effectiveness and complianceBuild and maintain relationships with industry peers at other carriers, brokerages and industry organizations to stay current on fraud trends and share intelligenceTravel approximately 10–20% to agent sites, company locations and industry conferencesWhat You'll BringDemonstrated, hands‑on experience identifying, investigating and mitigating cargo fraud and loss prevention threats in a transportation or brokerage environment — with specific examples you can speak to in an interviewExperience working within or alongside risk or insurance functions in a transportation context, with a working understanding of how fraud exposure translates to financial and reputational riskProven ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, agency owners, external vendors and industry peersExecutive presence — the ability to communicate with confidence and credibility at all levels, including delivering compliance‑based decisions to senior leaders and agency ownersBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with demonstrated successPreferred QualificationsDirect experience in a freight brokerage environment with exposure to carrier vetting, compliance processes and fraud prevention programsActive participation in cargo security industry organizations or established relationships with peers at other carriers or brokeragesWhy CRSTBuild CRST's cargo fraud prevention function from the ground up, with a clear path to grow the role as the function maturesCross‑functional visibility with access to brokerage and executive leadershipStable, well‑established organization with a strong brand in transportationRelocation assistance provided for candidates outside the Cedar Rapids areaCRST The Transportation Solution, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
