Overview
The Administrative Support III assists with the operation of daily assignments in a professional and prompt manner. They are responsible for clerical/administrative duties, maintaining equipment inventory and ordering supplies/equipment as needed for the division. Reviewing, processing and tracking all purchasing of financial transactions for the bureau in the accounting system. Submit payroll documents for processing, maintain daily calendar of appointments and special events. Enter budget info into INFOR and present weekly budget reports to ensure goals are met.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for daily purchases of minor equipment, supplies, and materials in support of all sections of the Operations Bureau
• Prepare purchase orders per finance guidelines
• Maintain records and receipts for purchases paid with P-card
• Review and research reports from finance department to reconcile open and closed purchase orders
• Maintain electronic schedule of Officers assigned to the Operations Bureau
• Update personal and emergency contact information of all sworn Officers in I-Leads
• Notify MetroCom Supervisors of updates
• Notify Officers of subpoenas served and assist with the scheduling process for
• depositions/court appearances
• Submit maintenance work orders into the Maintenance system for all locations under the Operations Bureau
• Sort general traffic and parking violation citations into two (2) categories, reviewing for needed corrections
• Forward parking violation citations to Parking Enforcement Supervisor
• Register individuals interested in the Ride Along program
• Complete background checks on registered individuals prior to approval of the ride along
• Notify appropriate supervisor of the scheduled ride along
• File Workman's Comp First Report of Injury claims for injured sworn Officers as needed
• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Associates Degree (AA/AS); or 2-year technical certificate
• Two (2) Years of Experience
Or
-High School Diploma/GED
-Four (4) years of experience
Licenses and Certifications
• TCIC/NCIC within six (6) months of hire
• Notary Public within six (6) months of hire
Required
• A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Employment is contingent on passing any post-offer pre-employment screening as listed below:
• Criminal Background Check: Yes
• Motor Vehicle Record Check: Yes
• Drug Screening: Yes
• Physical Exam: Yes
Basis of Rating
A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications and may request additional information. The city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
