Job DescriptionResponsible for providing Advanced Life Support (ALS) care as prescribed by Departmental and Hospital policies and procedures, as well as the New Jersey Department of Health Mobile Intensive Care Unit regulations. Administers pre-hospital care to critically ill or injured individuals of all age groups during emergency transport.QualificationsAssociate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in paramedicine if certified after June 2015High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) if certified prior to June 2015At least one year of relevant EMS experience or NJ Registered Professional Nurse (RN) with Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) endorsementNational Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic (NREMT‑P) or National Registered Paramedic (NRP) preferredKnowledge of N.J.A.C. 8:41Certifications in American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS requiredCertifications in IC 100, IC 200 and IC 700 requiredCertifications in PHTLS, BTLS or ITLS within 6 months of hire requiredValid state driver's license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving recordCertified Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) training or Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) within 6 months of hire requiredBenefitsSt. Joseph's Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law.
