What you'll do
- Participate in routine groundskeeping activities, including mowing grass, trimming shrubs, cutting tree branches, and caring for plants, to maintain safe and well-kept park spaces.
- Collect refuse by picking up, carrying, and disposing of trash and debris, and operate loading mechanisms to keep park areas clean and accessible.
- Assist with snow removal to help maintain safe conditions in parks and surrounding areas during winter weather.
- Perform semi-skilled manual labor to support daily maintenance tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently.
- Perform related duties as required to support overall operations.
- Park grounds are clean, well-maintained, and safe for public use
- Assigned tasks are completed on time and to standard
- Equipment is used safely and properly
- Work areas are left organized and hazard-free
- Team operations run smoothly with dependable support

REQUIRES
- High school graduation OR 6 months of experience in general labor.
- May be required to possess a valid state-issued driver's license in accordance with City of KCMO policies.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.
