DescriptionThe Dispatch Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the dispatch process. This includes overseeing the scheduling, routing, and dispatching of drivers and vehicles to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods while maintaining excellent customer service standards.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and oversee the daily dispatch of drivers and vehicles.Create, adjust, and manage delivery schedules and routes.Communicate with drivers to provide directions, updates, and support.Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and delivery information.Monitor and track the status of deliveries to ensure timely completion.Liaise with customers to provide delivery updates and address any issues.Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.Handle emergencies and unforeseen issues promptly and efficiently.Ensure adherence to all transportation and safety regulations.Take care of basic truck maintenance.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics is a plus.Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.Proficiency with dispatch and route planning software.Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.Job type: Full timeLocation: On-site, Dayton (Fedex Hub)#J-18808-Ljbffr
