About the Program SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with initiatives such as SkillBridge and HiringOurHeroes to provide up to six months of on‑the‑job industry training for service members currently on active duty who are transitioning to the civilian workforce.Participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks while preparing for a full‑time civilian career.Responsibilities Assist with assembling and creating major assembly structures and minor part‑fitting operations (filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming).Align parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures.Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.Qualifications Must Have:Currently serving as active duty military and eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program.High school diploma or GED equivalent.Familiarity with technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, or publications.Ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch.Exposure to structural assembly and minor part‑fitting techniques.Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi‑locks.Basic understanding of repair and refinishing, including airframe corrosion removal.Preferred:Background in the aerospace and defense industry, the U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, or U.S. Military.Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (may be required).Salary and Benefits Estimated Starting Salary Range: $22.95 – $31.56 per hour.Medical, dental, and vision plans.401(k) with 150% match up to 6%.Life insurance.3 weeks paid time off.Tuition reimbursement.Eligibility and Legal Requirements U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible for required U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce authorizations.Compliance with U.S. Government international trade regulations.EEO Statement SNC is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to an environment free of discrimination.
