With our One UPS advantage and comprehensive service portfolio, including Polar Speed's in-network pharmacies, we are optimally positioned to keep our clients competitive in an increasingly complex market.Main Duties And ResponsibilitiesCoordinate collections, deliveries, drop offs and recoveries with other departments/Marken Offices/Agent and driversReceive order from PCC call team, taken from the site and/or patient and review for completeness of information based on collection date/time/location, and send system generated alert to selected LSPDepending on study, arrange for packaging to be placed at site or LSP prior to expected dateFollow up with LSP prior to scheduled collection date/time to ensure packaging is in place and instructions are clearUpdate operating system (Maestro) with route leg information, POB/POD, and accurate costsMaintain constant communication with Packaging Team to ensure availability of required supplies for collections, deliveries, drop offs and recoveriesCondition the shipments as requiredCreate the applicable Route Legs depending on the serviceProvide the proper documentation to the agent/Marken Driver for collections, deliveries, drop offs and recoveriesTrack every shipment using the Maestro Wiki report designed for DispatchConfirm that every recovery is complete by matching the information against the manifest during reception processEnsure that the Agent/Marken driver is updating the information in the system through the mobile app (XMaestro)Provide periodical inspection to the vehicles to confirm that they are in proper conditionsFor NFO shipments provide expedited dispatch to tender the shipments immediately after collection and alert the receiving agent/officeNotify any discrepancies to the respective department, agent or Marken Office and update Maestro accordinglyUpdating the Tableau boardUploading all documents in the system in a timely mannerDownloading TT4's in the system in a timely mannerPlacing delay codes and notes in MaestroUpdating the dispatch turnover spread sheet for the next shiftConfirming and printing emails for pickupsConsistent communication with Export and Import for airport recoveries and dropsKnowing the location of your drivers and LSP'S alwaysReplenishing all local deliveries as necessaryPaying for Import shipmentsCreating Pick Up Orders for airlinesGoing over the Route leg alert screen in MaestroRequirements2+ years' Experience with airfreight operations, import/export operations and related regulatory requirements (TSA, US CBP, FDA etc.) Preferred2+ years Proven work experience as a dispatch lead or supervisorThe Ideal Candidate HasExperience from working in a GDP environmentProven ability to implement process improvement initiativesLeadership skills and ability to manage staffStrong decision making and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and truly cares about qualityExcellent communication skillsCompensation & BenefitsOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $21.90 per hour to $35.60 per hour.
