Job Duties
Planning and directing work of subordinates, setting and adjusting priorities and establishing deadlines for completion of work.
Assigning work to subordinates based on knowledge and skill levels, priorities, difficulty and other requirements of assignments.
Providing instruction, advice or counsel to subordinates on both work related and administrative issues.
Creates an environment that is conducive to associates thinking and resolving problems creatively; assesses the talents and capabilities of associates.
Promotes an environment that encourages confidence in making sound and well-informed decisions.
Provides candid and timely feedback to associates on how their actions contribute to the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
Establish relationships, serve as the principal point of contact, and coordinate unit activities with other divisions, offices, federal, state, local partners and stakeholders to assure a seamless implementation of ETA initiatives and accomplishment of the ETA mission.
Ensure all parties are informed about key activities and developments. Fosters a commitment to a team approach to work.
Manages program operations of assigned unit; implements polices and plans, directs activities to meet requirements of assigned programs; and/or makes significant contributions to the development of policy.
Continually improves work processes and the cost effectiveness of products and services; evaluates and measures the quality of products and services; applies state-of-the-art technologies to generate new ideas and solve problems.
Designs data collections, collects, organizes, and analyzes data required in development of various budget, legislative, evaluation, planning, contractual, and informational documents.
Applies expertise in designing, delivering or overseeing programs, serving youth, dislocated workers, and long-term unemployed, low-income individuals, and/or other targeted populations.
Evaluates performance reviews and studies and makes recommendations for program improvement and corrective actions for high-profile National products.
Participates in development of major technical assistance events and development and delivery of training for grantees and other stakeholders.
