TitleGEOINT Operations Systems EngineerPosition SummaryThe GEOINT Operations Systems Engineer will support a dynamic space program in Chantilly, VA, overseeing satellite operations from tasking to product dissemination for a proliferated constellation of imagery satellites. The role requires strong problem‑solving skills and a willingness to support mission‑critical operations in a fast‑paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide operations planning and execution supportDevelop and coordinate operations transition plans for large constellationsProvide support for anomaly resolutionSupport development and evaluation of CONOPS for GEOINT missionsInterface with mission users, operators, and analysts to translate operational needs into system requirementsAssess system performance from an operational and mission‑effectiveness perspectiveSupport exercises, demonstrations, and operational evaluationsProvide on‑call support as neededProvide proactive support to the Government customer and tasks in an integrated office environmentParticipate in full‑lifecycle acquisition and SE activities from pre‑acquisition through launch and on‑orbit checkoutAuthor, review, and coordinate documents, briefings, and data to aid the Government in communications and decision‑makingProvide support for dissemination of imagery productsRequired QualificationsActive TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraphBachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics with 8+ years of relevant experienceExperience with space systems design, development, and operations, including tasking, metric collection, and image disseminationExperience with the Intelligence Community and/or the Department of DefenseExperience with IC architectures, spacecraft, and payloadsAbility to lead and serve as primary point of contact for one or more projectsEffective interpersonal and customer engagement skills across multiple groups, offices, and organizationsStrong communication skills: ability to convey complex technical subjects to senior decision makersAbility to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic, integrated team environmentPreferred: Master's or PhD in a relevant technical fieldEEO StatementKBR is an equal‑opportunity employer.
