Job DetailsJob Location: AMARILLO TRAFFIC CONTROL - AMARILLO, TX 79111Traffic Control Tech I positions required an applicant be at least 21 years old and possess a valid Texas driver's license. Unfortunately we do not currently have positions that do not require a driver's license.Pre-employment Drug Screen required A Traffic Control Technician (TCT) in Texas plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe flow of traffic. Here's a breakdown of responsibilities and tasks:Responsibilities and Tasks Installation and Maintenance: Responsible for setting up and maintaining traffic control devices such as traffic signals, road signs, barriers, and pavement markings. This includes installing new equipment and repairing or replacing damaged items.Traffic Management: During road construction, accidents, or other incidents, a TCT will implement temporary traffic control measures to manage and redirect traffic safely. This often involves setting up cones, barrels, and signs to guide drivers and ensure roadwork is conducted safely.Inspection: Regular inspections of traffic control equipment to ensure everything is functioning properly.
