Job Location: Dearborn - 23501 - Dearborn, MI 48126Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $83,000.00 / yearJob Category: CorporateJob Summary The Fire Technical Specialist is responsible for supporting fire protection, security technology, emergency response readiness, and operational safety initiatives across client facilities throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This role works closely with site leadership, safety engineers, emergency response teams, and vendors to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and the effectiveness of fire and security systems.Primary Responsibilities Security Inspections & Compliance Manage security inspections and patrol programs through the use of inspection tracking systems.Provide training on inspection software and inspection procedures.Conduct follow‑up support to ensure inspections are completed accurately and on time.Develop standard operating procedures, instructional documents, and inspection frequency updates.Conduct periodic security operational guideline reviews.Support site impairment management and follow‑up.Monitor the status and condition of access control systems and related security equipment.Support key control and re‑keying programs.Conduct insurance tours and pre‑audit site visits.CCTV & Security Systems Operations Manage CCTV system operations, including coordination with facilities regarding camera tours and operational support.Support monitoring and operational readiness of: fire alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV systems, mobile command post equipment, fire pump trailer equipment, emergency response equipment.Emergency Response & Training Assist and participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) training, scheduling, and class audits.Maintain Emergency Response Training for Level2/ERT programs.Support facilities during emergency response situations.Conduct CPR training and support emergency preparedness initiatives.Perform PPE and emergency response equipment audits.Construction & Facility Support Support facilities during large‑scale construction or re‑tooling projects.Assist with paint booth preparation and fire stand‑by support.Assist with large or complex system impairments.Support special event coverage and operational readiness planning.Conduct high‑hazard area reviews and determinations.Support fire, safety, and security signage standardization and compliance initiatives.Incident Response & Investigations Assist with investigations involving system impairments, losses, threats, or operational incidents.Support readiness and deployment of emergency response equipment and trailers.Coordinate equipment relocation and reassignment based on facility needs.Process Improvement & Operational Excellence Research and implement process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.Evaluate tools and equipment utilized by security personnel.Support implementation of new technologies and operational enhancements.Improve patrol, inspection, and training efficiency and quality.Assist regional and site leadership with facility reviews, operational support, and continuous improvement efforts.Participate in cost‑saving initiatives, staffing reviews, and operational time studies.Evaluate equipment layouts and operational needs.Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and internal departments to support operational projects and system improvements.Collaborate with site safety engineers and operational leadership to identify and mitigate existing issues.Core Competencies & Leadership Conduct all duties in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and client requirements.Demonstrate accountability, reliability, and attention to detail.Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.Promote a culture of safety, preparedness, and operational excellence.Demonstrate ownership and accountability for operational success.Promote Inter‑Con's values, culture, and mission.Take initiative in identifying and resolving operational issues.Work collaboratively across teams and departments.Display professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication skills.Requirements and Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent experience required.Bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum 1–3 years of experience in fire protection, security systems, emergency response, manufacturing operations, or related fields.Strong understanding of fire and security protection systems and compliance processes.Experience with access control systems, CCTV operations, inspections, and emergency response procedures preferred.Knowledge of fire protection standards and emergency response equipment.Ability to support multiple facilities and travel frequently as needed.Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and operational reporting systems.NFPA membership or related certifications preferred.Additional Qualifications Frequent travel is required throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.Travel may occur on short notice due to emergency situations.Expected travel may include day trips and week‑long deployments.Attendance at fire protection conferences and training events may be required.Inter‑Con Security Systems, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Disability/Veteran.#J-18808-Ljbffr
