Loomis Communities Job Opportunity
Guards campus against fire, theft, vandalism, unsafe conditions, and illegal entry by performing the following duties.
Other duties may be assigned.
- Patrols, periodically, buildings and grounds of campus.
- Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
- Assures that all employees, residents, and visitors follow established policies and procedures.
- Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
- Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
- Sounds alarm or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Permits authorized persons to enter property.
- Responds to resident call bells.
- Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning machinery or equipment in security log for each shift.
- In an emergency, may perform simple maintenance duties.
- Keeps entry ways and main sidewalks free of ice and snow and calls grounds contractor as necessary.
- Complies with safety procedures, infection control and standard precautions.
- Complies with confidentiality and residents' rights.
- Complies with all CARF/CCAC guidelines and standards.
- Demonstrates an awareness of, a respect for and attention to the diversity of the people with whom they interact (persons served, personnel, families/caregivers, and other stakeholders) that is reflected in attitudes, behavior and services.
