The role of Traffic Control Trainer involves training and instructing individuals on the proper use of traffic control devices and procedures. This position is crucial for ensuring that all personnel involved in traffic management are well-versed in the latest practices and safety measures. The responsibilities of a Traffic Control Trainer include:
Responding to any inquiries or concerns regarding traffic control practices.
Traffic Control Trainers play a vital role in maintaining safety and efficiency in traffic management, especially in high-traffic areas or during special events. They are expected to possess a strong understanding of traffic control principles and be able to communicate effectively with both the public and other stakeholders.
Position Requirements
Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of the MUTCD, Section 150, GDOT Standards for flagging & lane closures.
Skills needed: Be able to develop training material both individualized and group setting with power point or other similar application. Be able to communicate efficiently with vast diversity of people and skill set.
Understanding of requirements: Will need to visit job sites to review and give direction to staff when things need to be addressed. This project site visit could be at night and/or weekends.
