Job Description

The primary purpose of this position: To serve as the Chief, Canada and Atlantic Approaches Security Cooperation Branch in the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and the United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), Strategy, Policy, and Plans Directorate (J5), Security Cooperation Division (J59).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, organizing, and directing the activities of Canada and Atlantic Approaches Security Cooperation Branch, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meeting National and Command objectives.
  • Providing vision, direction, oversight, and perspectives on strategic planning and leadership initiatives that shape future Canadian, Caribbean, and Atlantic Security Cooperation engagements.
  • Representing the Canada and Atlantic Security Cooperation Branch with various national and international government and functional area organizations at international and national meetings, conferences, symposia, and site visits.
  • Providing technical and administrative supervision to the limited number of staff in the Canada and Atlantic Security Cooperation Branch.
