Code Enforcement Specialist

Associa is hiring a Code Enforcement Specialist for its large-scale HOA community in Williamsburg.

A Code Enforcement Specialist plays an active role in achieving long-term customer satisfaction in the context of Community Association relationships. Specific responsibilities will vary with designated communities and may include, but are not limited to: Inspecting properties for maintenance, landscaping, safety, and compliance issues and accurately recording findings.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Walk and inspect community grounds and subdivisions.
  • Meet and greet homeowners, engage with homeowners and build rapport.
  • Investigate homeowner violations, maintenance concerns, safety, code and compliance.
  • Notate and document findings. Submit reports. Follow-up to ensure violation was corrected.
  • Notify responsible parties of code issues given in writing, by phone, in person and electronically.
  • Generate and send out HOA violation notices and follow the due process for correction.
  • Respond to and investigate allegations of violations of codes to determine validity of complaints and the appropriate course of action to mitigate issues.
  • Investigate and enforce property codes within boundaries.
  • Schedule and perform systematic property maintenance inspections to maintain or achieve minimum property standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 2+ years of office, clerical, customer service, or inspection experience.
  • Customer service driven and team oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques.
  • Attention to detail, organized, proactive communication style, strong follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Takes ownership and initiative. Works proactively.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
