Schedule: Monday to Friday | 3pm - 12am

Position Overview

Dunbar Security Solutions is seeking a dependable Temporary Truck Gate Security Officer to support daily security operations at an active facility in Richmond. This role is focused on access control, trailer verification, patrol duties, and maintaining site security procedures throughout the shift.

The ideal candidate is attentive, organized, and comfortable working in an industrial or logistics-based environment where accuracy and professionalism are important.

Primary Duties

• Verify truck and trailer information before entry and exit
• Check trailer seals and confirm shipping information matches site records
• Control facility access and allow entry to authorized personnel only
• Conduct routine patrols throughout the property and assigned areas
• Observe site activity and report suspicious behavior or unsafe conditions
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and security equipment as assigned
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and activity logs
• Assist with emergency response procedures when necessary
• Maintain communication with supervisors and site contacts during the shift
• Support company safety standards and security procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or industrial setting
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Preferred Background

• Previous security, warehouse, logistics, or gate control experience
• Familiarity with truck check-in procedures or shipping documentation
• Experience writing reports or documenting incidents

Work Environment

• Industrial facility with regular truck traffic
• Combination of indoor and outdoor duties
• Frequent walking, monitoring, and access control responsibilities
• Day shift schedule with consistent weekday hours
