In this role, you may be involved in many of the following activities:Apply missile guidance, navigation, and control expertise to algorithm development, signal and data processing, modeling, and simulationIntegrate Matlab/Simulink models into a 6-DOF C++ simulationDevelop high fidelity models and simulation softwareDevelop new source code in C++ and PythonModify code in C++, C, Matlab, Simulink, Fortran, Python, Linux shell, and YAMLCreate unit testsImplement simulation software on a high performance computing cluster including Linux systems or VMsWork in an Agile DevOps environment with Docker/Container and Kubernetes deploymentCollaborate with the performance critical thinkers, Flight Software team, and customerSuccessful applicants generally have a minimum of 2+ years of related experience and may have a post‑secondary degree or training in a related discipline.Basic QualificationsBroad technical skills such as rigid body dynamics, control theory, and/or computer programming.Proven experience using MATLAB and/or Simulink for simulation and analysis of feedback control systems, closed loop guidance, or navigation algorithms.C/C++ programming experience.Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and/or coordinate transformation.Ability to clearly document analysis results in presentation slides and engineering memos.Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment.Security Clearance / Work AuthorizationTo meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.Applicants must be able to obtain Final Secret clearance to be considered qualified.Interim Secret clearance is required prior to start.Selected candidates will be required to maintain a minimum level, government issued Secret clearance for long term employment on this program.Desired SkillsExperience with simulations and physics‑based modeling.Experience with state estimation and navigation algorithms, including Extended Kalman Filters.Experience with kinematics using Euler Angles and Quaternions.Experience with autopilot design and linear stability analysis.Familiarity or experience with missile defense systems or fire control.Experience with C++ development and Gitlab.Experience with FORTRAN and 6DOF simulations.Experience with model based software development using Simulink (autocoding).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members.Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers.Familiarity with agile software development.Distributed/parallel processing.Possess a Secret clearance.Security Clearance StatementThis position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
