    Dispatcher Job

    Dispatcher will oversee a fleet of truck drivers, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and federal regulations. This role demands excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assign and schedule drivers to routes based on delivery requirements and driver availability.
    • Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and updates throughout the day.
    • Monitor and track the progress of deliveries, addressing any issues or delays.
    • Maintain accurate records of driver logs, delivery times, and route details.
    • Collaborate with customer service to address and resolve delivery-related inquiries.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety and DOT regulations.
    • Analyze and optimize route efficiency to reduce costs and improve service levels.
    • Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
    • Analyze and improve fleet performance metrics to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings and training.
    • Address and resolve HOS or safety-related issues promptly.
    • Provide support in case of emergencies or unforeseen situations.
    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or GED; associate degree in logistics or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatching or a related field.
    • Strong communication and multitasking skills.
    • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
