Position Description
Administers and interprets a variety of tests, such as air and bone conduction, and speech reception and discrimination tests, to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. Diagnoses and treats speech and language problems, and engages in scientific study of human communication. Evaluates speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Works with children with repaired cleft palates to assess the effectiveness of telemedicine-based treatments vs face-to-face treatments.
  • Collect and analyze data to meet objectives and milestones required to fulfill NICHD funding requirements, without deviating from IRB-approved protocols.
  • Maintain organized records of all grant documents, including proposals, contracts, reports, and correspondence.
  • Manage digital files and databases, ensuring documents are stored securely and are easily accessible for audits or reporting purposes.
  • Assist with grant renewals and amendments, including revising budgets or objectives as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact between the grantor and the internal team to relay information, requirements, and timelines.
  • Schedule meetings, track action items, and follow up with relevant stakeholders on the progress of grant-related activities.
  • Coordinate training or informational sessions for project team members about grant policies and requirements.


Required Qualifications
Requires a master's degree in a related field and 0-2 years of experience. May be required to meet certain state licensing requirements. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
