About The Role
Are You a Vigilant and Dependable Professional Who Values Safety and Community?
We are seeking a Security Guard to help protect the students, staff, and visitors across our agency locations.
As a Security Guard, you'll play a key role in fostering a safe, secure and welcoming environment for those we servefrom young children to staff and to community members of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety of students, staff, and visitors throughout the facility
- Monitor security cameras and patrol agency buildings and grounds
- Coordinate and conduct monthly fire drills, lockdowns, and other emergency procedures
- Control building access and verify credentials of visitors
- Respond to emergencies and work with local law enforcement and emergency personnel
- Prepare and maintain logs, incident reports, and visitor records
- Assist with elevator inspections, package delivery, and general support
- Participate in agency initiatives, events, and trainings as assigned
- Availability for evening, weekend and on-call assignments
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Valid NJ Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) License
- Basic computer skills to allow access to email and be able to maintain communication within the agency.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies
- Familiarity with safety regulations and building security procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
- Good communication and teamwork skills
