What you'll do - Skilled operator with strong experience using heavy construction and sewer maintenance equipment. Regularly operates complex machinery such as bulldozers, graders, excavators, ditching machines, payloaders, jet vacs, and jet rodders.
- Responsible for safely and efficiently handling heavy-duty equipment, often requiring advanced control and precision. Ensures all work is completed without risk to self, coworkers, the public, or property.
- Provides guidance and support to less experienced employees and may assist with training on equipment operation and safe work practices.

- Jobs are completed accurately, on schedule, and to required quality standards.

Qualifications
REQUIRES: - 2 years of increasingly responsible experience in the operation of heavy and complex construction and maintenance equipment.
- Must possess a valid state -issued driver's license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies.
- May be required to possess a valid MO Class A, B, or C CDL prior to the end of the employee's probationary period as determined by the department.
- If moving from a non-safety-sensitive position, must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained. If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
