    A healthcare facility is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner in Dexter, MO. This locum tenens role involves providing inpatient emergency medicine care, including evaluating patients, supporting admissions and discharges, and performing acute procedures in a collaborative clinical setting.

    About the Opportunity:

    • Schedule: (3 12-hour shifts per week)
    • Hours: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
    • Setting: Inpatient

    Responsibilities:

    • Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and critical conditions in an emergency setting.
    • Conduct thorough physical examinations, obtain medical histories, and triage incoming patients.
    • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to support differential diagnoses and treatment decisions.
    • Perform acute procedures such as suturing, fracture reduction, splinting, and foreign body removal, and assist with airway management or resuscitation as needed.
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to implement care plans, facilitate discharges, and arrange admissions.

    Qualifications:

    • Active Missouri Nurse Practitioner license.
    • Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine.
    • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
