    Permanent Neonatology Nurse Practitioner

    Position Type:
    Specialty: Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
    Location: Atlanta, GA .
    Shift: 24-hour NICU shifts

    Position Details:
    Patient Population: Critically ill and premature newborns
    Setting: Level III NICU

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide advanced neonatal care in a Level III NICU
    • Manage care for critically ill and premature newborns
    • Deliver individualized, evidence-based neonatal care
    • Participate in collaborative clinical decision-making
    • Support newborn stabilization, treatment planning, and intensive care management
    • Work closely with neonatologists, pediatric intensivists, pediatricians, research nurses, and NNPs
    • Contribute to a growing neonatal program with expanding coverage needs
    • Maintain high standards of patient care and documentation

    Required Procedures:

    • Neonatal assessment and management
    • Newborn stabilization
    • Intensive neonatal care management
    • Treatment planning and patient monitoring

    EMR System:

    Support Staff:

    • Neonatologists
    • Pediatric Intensivists
    • Newborn Nursery Pediatricians
    • Nurse Practitioners
    • Research Nurses
    • Multidisciplinary NICU Team

    Days Per Month:

    On-Call/Weekends: Not Specified

    Submission Requirements:

    • Current APRN National Specialty Certification Required
    • Minimum Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN or higher) Required
    • Georgia License or willingness to obtain Highly Preferred
    • Neonatology Training/Fellowship Required
    • Clean Malpractice and License History Highly Preferred
    • Neonatology Experience Required
    • Visa Support Requirement (J1/H1B) must be specified Required
    • Most Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) Required
    • DEA (must be obtained prior to start) Required
