    Test Engineer ROLE The Lead Senior Test Engineer establishes and directs the testing strategy for all components, ensuring system quality and requirements compliance. This position leads test planning, execution, and reporting while coordinating with development and functional teams to maintain quality standards throughout the development lifecycle. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for IT components Design test cases and scenarios based on functional and technical requirements Lead the execution of various testing types (functional, integration, performance, security) Implement automated testing frameworks and continuous testing processes Coordinate testing activities with development and functional teams Manage defect tracking and resolution processes Evaluate and implement testing tools and methodologies Provide leadership and guidance to testing team members Report testing progress and quality metrics to management Ensure testing compliance with quality standards and processes REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Minimum 10 years of testing experience with at least 5 years in a lead role Experience with test automation frameworks and tools Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps) Experience with performance testing and security testing Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Test management tool experience (JIRA, ALM, etc.) Active Secret security clearance or higher Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent leadership and communication abilities REQUIRED EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field LOCATION Newport News, VA CLEARANCE Active Secret Clearance Required TRAVEL Travel may be required
