Job Posting Vaxcom Services, a Parsons company, is looking for an amazingly talented Armed Security Officer to join our team of dedicated and talented security professionals. What You'll Be Doing:

• Maintain professionalism, while ensuring the highest quality security services in the protection of personnel, property, and information.
• Control access to facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring all personnel have the proper identification and authorization.
• Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives as defined in post orders.
• Perform patrol duties via foot, bike, or vehicle.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents that may occur during day or night.
• Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in written form.
• Respond to situations using the appropriate escalation of force up to and including armed response by following established Use of Force policy.
• Maintain proficiency and safety in the use of all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapon systems.
• Complete regularly scheduled training and (re-)certification requirements.
• * All training hours are compensated. Uniforms and equipment are provided.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Minimum of 21 years of age (required to carry firearm).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to pass basic physical fitness test (one mile run, crawl, push-ups, sit-ups).
• Ability to complete New Mexico Armed Guard Level 3 certification (paid during training).
• Ability to meet (and maintain) minimum standards with Glock 17 pistol and M4 style rifle.
• Meet one of the following preferred requirements: two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard); three years of experience in physical security as a security officer (armed or unarmed); Associate degree or higher in security related field; successful completion of an accredited police academy; or any combination of two years' experience in physical security and military service.
• Applicants not meeting the aforementioned criteria will be considered on a case-by-case basis with an emphasis on familiarity with security concepts, customer service, and expressed/observed ability to assimilate to the job duties.

Security Clearance Requirement: An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position. This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
