The AFSO must understand and have working experience with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and other security requirements for DOD and non-DOD Federal agencies, be very detail oriented, and can function independently and effectively with minimal supervision. The AFSO must be able to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner while being responsive to frequently changing and time sensitive requirements. Experience working with complex business structures and administering contract security requirements in support of both DOD and non-DOD Federal agencies is highly preferred.Position Responsibilities IncludeAdministrate personnel security clearance processes to include coordinating initial clearance submissions and periodic reinvestigations of staff, providing guidance and instruction to staff to ensure completion of security paperwork, collection of electronic fingerprinting of initial clearance candidates, and providing follow-up clearance report status on processed clearances to managers for specific contracts.Maintain security documentation and files in accordance with DCSA requirements.Provide Federal Agency or component personnel suitability processing support and coordination.Provide and document employee security briefings, debriefings, investigate and report security violations and incidents.Maintain classified holdings and prepare transmittals in accordance with NISPOM guidelines and requirements.Assist with development, implementation, and tracking of security training.Assist the FSO with preparing necessary documentation in support of DCSA security assessments.Provide security support to Human Resources, Contracts, and Proposal teams.Assist with daily security activities and enforce government and company security policies.Provide access control support to requests for badges, access cards, and visits, as required by contract.Other administrative duties, as required.Position Qualifications And RequirementsUS Citizen.Must possess current DoD Security Clearance at the Secret or higher level.High School Diploma or higher.Three (3)+ years of experience as an AFSO or FSO.Three (3)+ years of government contracting experience.Demonstrated ability to manage varied contract security requirements across multiple CAGE codes.Must have completed or be able to complete the CDSE's required FSO training within 120 days of employment.Working experience with DCSA databases including but not limited to: DISS, NBIS, and SWFT.Knowledge of government security and information assurance processes.Experience with protection requirements for handling and safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and customers at all levels.Proficient in MS Office Suite.This is a full time salaried remote position with periodic in-office work requirements.
